Mushing day

Mushing day is full day experiencing and learning about dogsledding at our kennel. This is a full day for you who wants to experience dogsledding like mushers do!

What to expect?

This experience is the enitre day, we start in the morning with an introduction. Starting the day with passenger drive, where your guide will drive you trought the Swedish scenery. During this tour your guide will explain everything about the dogs, what to look for and guide you in how to handle forest trails and lake trails. When returning to the kennel, you can assist the guide with taking care of the dogs. Then it will be time for a well deserved lunch in the wooden hut.

After the lunch it is time for you to take the wheel. Together with your guide, you will prepare a little sled with your own dog team (between 4 and 6 dogs). Your guide will follow on this tour with its own dog team, to help if necesarry. Depending on the conditions a snowmobile will follow as well or instead. During this tour you can drive the team yourself, use the commands you learned during the fist tour and enjoy. Half way you can switch driver with the passenger, so you both can exeperience the driving. When returning from the tour, you have some time with the dogs. Together with your guide, you take care of them and ofcourse give some well deserved cuddles.

This entire day is about 5 to 6 h including a lunch in de woodenhut, preparing the dogs and explanation. The driving is about 12km per tour.
