The entire trail in Piteå municipality is approximately 40 kilometers long.

In modern times, the snowmobile clubs after the old Kristina road, named after Queen Kristina, began the job of creating a snowmobile trail from coast to mountain. The trail passes many communities and villages, including Långträsk, Arvidsjaur and Arjeplog. It was inaugurated on 20 March 1993 and was then officially named the Nasaleden.  Historically, the construction of the Kristina road started already in 1635, after the ore deposit at the Nasafjäll silver works was discovered in 1634.  Tip: Svartlidenstugan is our cozy timbered little sister located a little way up after Nasaleden, just below Roka Viltvatten.

Feel free to stop and have a cup of coffee and enjoy the silence - you will stay for a while. There is a barbecue area outside, about 100 m north of the cabin, and one inside. The cabin gets hot quickly when the fire is lit.  You are welcome to stay the night if you want a night in the middle of nature. With the right sleeping mat, you can sleep well on the floor or benches. It's a long way to the nearest garbage can, so remember to take home the trash you brought here. There is an outhouse here.
